The AMU has gained industry recognition for its data security management by obtaining the Data Seal standard. Data Seal is a standard exclusively available to DMA, IPA, IPM and ISBA members, and has been developed by the DMA in conjunction with BSi. Data Seal is the only recognised standard for information security management systems other than ISO: 27001.
During July 2012, Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance (LRQA) independently assessed AMU’s suitability for the Data Seal award. AMU was able to demonstrate its ability to protect the security and confidentiality of its customer data by meeting the rigorous Data Seal criteria and was subsequently recommended by LRQA for the Data Seal award.
