Newgate Communications is the PR agency for the Parkside Regeneration project. When we need to identify and contact local businesses and residents, we choose direct mail specialists Sharp Cat Ltd.
Parkside Regeneration is a joint venture between St. Helens Council and the developer Langtree to redevelop the disused Parkside Colliery site in Newton-le-Willows into a modern logistics hub.
The first stage of the regeneration project will create 1 million sq ft of new employment space, 1,300 permanent new logistics and manufacturing jobs, and St. Helens Council will benefit from an additional £3.3m in rates payments. The entire project will benefit the local economy by £80m.
Sharp Cat is our chosen mailing house because of their web based tool called Geolist©; Powered by the Royal Mail Postcode Address File known as PAF® there are over 30 million UK addresses to access. Geolist© identifies our target audience in any UK area drawn on its maps and PAF® ensures the successful address recognition and delivery of the mailing.
Using Geolist© on an area covering Newton-Le-Willows and Merseyside, Sharp Cat extracted PAF® data for 12,040 businesses and households in the specified location. The fully accurate address data was used to send out direct mail invitations for community events and resulted in an effective communication with our specific target audience.
