Please see below some examples of how much it might cost your organisation to use PAF in the example scenarios below.

Example 1: Data Cleansing

Your company has a project to cleanse some customer address records which will be used for mailing purposes. You only need access to PAF for one year, and one person will be completing the work. We would recommend you take the data at least quarterly if the cleansed addresses are going to be used for mailings to make sure you have an up to date version of PAF. Therefore the cost will be:

• Fee for one User of PAF Data: £95.00
• Fee to download PAF quarterly: £1,012.50
• Total cost for one year: £1,107.50 plus VAT

Example 2: Online Validation

You have an internal customer relationship management (CRM) system, you want to add address validation to the new customer input form. There are 10 Users of the CRM system and you decide that you will go for monthly downloads of PAF.

• Fee for 10 Users of PAF Data: £950 (10 x £95.00)
• Fee to download PAF monthly: £1,200
• Total cost in year one: £2,150 plus VAT

Example 3: Online Shopping

You have built an e-commerce Website and you want to build in address validation when someone purchases a product. There will be no other Users of PAF Data, just the Website. You decide on quarterly updates of PAF received on DVD.

• Fee for use of PAF on a Website: £6,900
• Fee to receive quarterly PAF Data on DVD: £1,375
• Total cost in year one: £8,275 plus VAT

Example 1

Your End User has a project to cleanse some customer address records which will be used for mailing purposes. Only one User will be using the Multiple Residence (MR) data. Therefore you would need to return the following User fees back to Royal Mail using your monthly licence fee Report. Access the Fee Reporting Rules:

• Fee for one User of MR Data: £12.00 + VAT

Example 2

Your End User has an internal customer relationship management (CRM) system, and they want to add address validation to the new customer input form. You decide to include both PAF and Multiple Residence (MR) data. There are 10 Users of the CRM system. Therefore you would need to return the following User fees back to Royal Mail using your monthly licence fee Report. Access the Fee Reporting Rules:

• Fee for 10 Users of PAF Data: £950 + VAT (10 x £95.00)
• Fee for 10 Users of MR data: £120.00 + VAT (10 x £12.00)

Example 3

Your End User has built an e-commerce Website and they want to build in address validation when someone purchases a product. There will be no other Users of PAF and Multiple Residence (MR) Data, just the Website. Therefore you would need to return the following User fees back to Royal Mail using your monthly licence fee Report. Access the Fee Reporting Rules:

• Fee for use of PAF on a Website (as Website Use licence fee): £6,900 + VAT
• Fee for use of MR on a Website (as Website Use licence fee): £810 + VAT

Example 1

Your company, selling new carpets, wants to target newly built houses to sell your products. You decide to obtain the Not Yet Built (NYB) data to help identify target areas and be ready for when these houses are built and ready for occupation. Only one User within your organisation will use the data. You decided a one-off download of NYB data will suffice for this project.

Therefore the cost will be:

• Fee for one User of NYB data: £12.00
• Fee to download NYB annually: £370
• Total cost for one year: £382.00 plus VAT

Example 2

You have an internal customer relationship management (CRM) system, you want to add Not Yet Built (NYB) addresses to the ‘new customer’ input form so that you can process orders prior to these properties being added to PAF. There are 10 Users of the CRM system and you decide that you will go for monthly downloads of NYB.

• Fee for 10 Users of NYB data: £120 (10 x £12.00)
• Fee to download NYB monthly: £1,110
• Total cost in year one: £1230.00 plus VAT

Alias data can be used alongside PAF to identify properties that have additional address characteristics i.e. a house name. You can find our Alias Data Supply fees within the table below. You have access to PAF for one year, and one person will be completing the work. You also want to take a copy of Alias data. We would recommend you take the data at least quarterly if the cleansed addresses are going to be used for mailings to make sure you have an up to date version of PAF.

Therefore the cost will be:

• Fee for one User of PAF Data: £95.00
• Fee to download PAF quarterly: £1,012.50
• Fee for an annual download of Alias: £81.00
• Total cost for one year: £1,188.50 plus VAT

Example 2

Online Validation You have an internal customer relationship management (CRM) system, you want to add address validation to the new customer input form. There are 10 Users of the CRM system and you decide that you will go for monthly downloads of PAF and Alias.

• Fee for 10 Users of PAF Data: £950 (10 x £95.00)
• Fee to download PAF monthly: £1,200
• Fee to download Alias monthly: £243
• Total cost in year one: £2,393.00 plus VAT

The PIF file is used to help the barcoding of mail. Delivery point suffix (DPS) & checksum information is required to create barcodes on mail and PIF supplies these; useful if your database or PAF® product does not include it.

One of the pricing options for using PAF, Multiple Residence and Not Yet Built is Bureau Services. When a database is cleansed (see Data Cleansing) and the resulting records are passed back to your client this is known as Bureau Services. There is an annual fee to provide this service as follows:

Your organisation has a project to cleanse many of your clients customer address records which will be used for mailing purposes. Three Users will access PAF and Cleanse the data. During the course of the year you estimate your company will Cleanse between 10,000,001 – 100,000,000 records.

• Fee for three Users of PAF Data: £285 + VAT
• Fee for relevant band of Bureau Services: £5,100 + VAT
• Total cost for one year: £5,385 + VAT
